For more information, visit www.coopervision.comJob SummaryPerform a variety of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance duties to include, but not limited to set-up, build, repair and support of highly specialized or process-type machines.Essential Functions & Accountabilities
- Troubleshoots problems and takes corrective action by recommending and/or performing all types of maintenance to include but not limited to, diagnosing and repairing specific equipment.
- Maintains electrical, mechanical and pneumatic control systems.
- Interprets and applies written specifications, schematic drawings, parts lists, prints and sketches to installation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Maintains documentation according to Federal and Internal procedures.
- May perform other duties as directed, including, but not limited to: plumbing, electronic, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning repairs, maintenance, installation or troubleshooting.
- As business needs dictate, works extended hours to complete daily department goals or tasks to include mandatory overtime.
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Aptitude, knowledge and/or experience with the basics of one or more skilled trades, such as: electrician, machinist or pipefitter.
- Familiarity with shop-trade terminology and materials used; general knowledge of diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to use tools and properly test equipment.
- PC proficiency.
- Basic knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls (PLC's).
- Ability to utilize lean principles and concepts to identify and implement process improvement projects.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance on various types of equipment.
- Ability to utilize Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to prioritize daily workload and track preventative maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with FDA regulations.
- Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and Regulatory requirements.
- Exhibits excellent communication skills - verbal, written, and comprehension of the English language.
- Must be hands-on oriented and possess ones' own tools.
- Willing to learn and stay current on changes in technology.
