Maintenance Technician- NorthStar Clean Energy - Consumers Energy : Job Details

Installs, maintains and repairs mechanical systems and equipment utilizing skills in welding, pipefitting, plumbing, mill righting and machinery. Maintains a safe work environment through job planning and identification and correction of hazards and adherence to plant safety rules and procedures. Troubleshoots and isolates mechanical problems; implements corrective actions, as appropriate. Performs basic carpentry work, small engine and tool repair, as required. Plans and lays out work in accordance with applicable standards and codes. Recommends changes to improve efficiency and/or quality of mechanical operations, as appropriate. Reads and interprets plans, diagrams and specifications. Maintains and repairs heavy mobile equipment. Provides estimates of time and material required; requisitions, tools and supplies in accordance with established procedures. Prepares and maintains documentation and reports, as required.
