Safety/Security Sensitive Designation:This is a safety/security sensitive position for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment.Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers, maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees (especially members of their own team), and have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive.Perform various construction and maintenance duties in the care and upkeep of City buildings and facilities.Perform plumbing, electrical and HVAC functions.Frame walls and paint as assigned.Mow grass, operate weed eater and pressure washer as needed.Perform other duties as assigned. Secondary Job Duties Serve as backup to perform custodial duties as needed.Secondary duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED and 12 months of related experience and/or training.Valid Driver's License.Must successfully pass criminal background check, including but not limited to convictions, guilty pleas, or no contest pleas to violent offenses, theft offenses and any offense under A.C.A. 21-15-103.Effectively communicate with others orally and in writing.Proficient in the use of all construction tools, power tools, and light lawn equipment.While performing the functions of this job, the employee regularly is required to stand, walk and sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions.
