Position Description

Position Title: Maintenance

Qualifications/Certification:

1. Experience in all phases of electrical and plumbing work, heating and air conditioning systems.

2. Must be able to read and understand blueprints.

3. Possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.

4. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Reports To/Supervised By: Facilities Engineer

Responsibilities:

1. Repair, replace and maintain physical structures of the building.

2. Repair, replace and maintain machinery, plumbing and electrical wiring and fixtures.

3. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heating and air conditioning systems.

4. Repair and assemble chairs, tables and other furnishings.

5. Operate equipment provided by the school to properly maintain the building and grounds including grass mowing and snow removal.

6. Paint interior and exterior building surfaces and equipment.

Secondary/Related Responsibilities:

1. Maintain key inventory and records.

2. Write maintenance supply requisitions and get same approved by the Supervisor/Facilities Engineer.

3. Run monthly fire drills.

4. Perform necessary requirement for computerized Energy Management System.

5. Perform painting services.

Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Supervisor/Facilities Engineer.

Maintain files on equipment for reference.
