The Maintenance Department is looking to fill one (1) vacant position.
Employees in this class are under general supervision. Work performed in a variety of skilled housing maintenance tasks including:
* Carpentry
* Basic plumbing
* Basic electrical
* Basic HVAC repair
* Performs a variety of semi-skilled preventive maintenance duties such as cleaning coils, changing filters, greasing motors, etc.
* Performs interior and exterior painting duties
* Unit turnaround duties as required
* Performs other related duties as assigned
Must be able to work any shift or schedule. Overtime will be required as necessary. Facilities employees may be required to report at their regularly scheduled times during emergency closures or during inclement weather to perform essential functions including snow removal duties.
A background check is required.

* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
* Ability to give and interpret oral and written directions.

* Ability to inspect apartments, and create and complete work as necessary.
* Ability to complete operational forms and work records (work orders).
* Ability to perform all duties in compliance with all applicable safety codes.

* Ability to communicate with peers, customers, and housing staff.
* Ability to communicate problems and build system-related issues to supervisor.
* Ability to make repairs to various HVAC equipment, ie, VRF.
* Ability to work various shifts including weekends and after business hours.
* Ability to stand for long periods of time; frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, lifting, etc.
* Ability to perform light to heavy manual labor.
Required Qualifications
* Part-time and/or professional experience in building/facilities maintenance, HVAC/HVACR repair, mechanical maintenance, and/or other closely relevant experience required (such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and masonry). In lieu of experience, those with relevant degrees, certifications, and/or apprenticeship experience may be considered.
* A valid Driver's License.
* Able to work various shifts including weekends and after business hours.
Preferred Qualifications Salary $16.34 an hour
