Maintenance Worker - Harnett County, NC : Job Details

An employee in this position performs semi-skilled trades and unskilled manual tasks in the maintenance of County buildings and grounds for Harnett Regional Water. This includes clearing vacant lots for construction, landscaping at new construction sites, loading trucks with gravel or other materials, removing snow, operating a backhoe, mowing with bat wing mowers or tractors, trimming bushes and trees, cleaning, painting buildings and parking lot lines, moving furniture and heavy boxes for staff, and moving tables and chairs. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: Operates back hoe to clear land for new roads, construction sites, or new landscaping areas; loads trucks with gravel and other materials; and pushes snow using back how blade. Operates tractor with bat wing mower attachment to cut grass behind courthouse and school, at airport, and at other locations.
