Job Description

Our Maintenance Worker assists the Maintenance Director in community operation needs. The Maintenance team is in charge of keeping our residents living areas well-kept and serviced to high standards. You should also be able to resolve resident complaint and queries promptly and in a polite manner. You are the right candidate if you are pleasant, detailed oriented and friendly.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or previous related maintenance experience and some training in one or all of the following areas: carpentry, plumbing, painting, HVAC, refurbishing and cleaning.
  • Ability to perform general maintenance repair needs, problem solve and communicate and cooperate effectively with others.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs without assistance as well as move throughout the building and perform the various physical demands set forth in this job description.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general maintenance work on a daily basis, including but not limited to, replacing light bulbs, repairing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.
  • Prepares resident apartments for new occupants by painting, cleaning carpets and general maintenance by either providing these activities or working as a team member to achieve these results.
  • Assists in all phases of maintenance pertaining to resident apartments and common areas of the community.
