Here, teamwork, innovative thinking and attention to detail are the keys to our success.SUMMARYThe Distribution Center (DC) Maintenance Technician 3 is responsible for performing preventative, routine and extraordinary repair maintenance throughout the DC. Maintenance in the DCs includes battery changers, rolling equipment, conveyor, mechanical systems, PLC systems, plumbing, electrical systems and general facilities. The Technician will work in maintenance functions that include both interior and exterior as needed or per maintenance supervisor direction.JOB DUTIES

• Follows detailed verbal and written instructions from maintenance supervisor or facility maintenance manager in written or verbal format.

• Performs routine and extraordinary repairs on electrical, (AC/DC), mechanical, pneumatic, rolling stock equipment, light bulbs, fire prevention system and hydraulic repairs or installations

• Performs, plans and implements routine preventative maintenance on electrical, (AC/DC), mechanical, pneumatic, rolling stock equipment, fire prevention and hydraulic systems.

• Maintains work order, preventative maintenance and inventory tracking systems via spread sheets, data bases, or maintenance software.

• Provide training or mentorship to maintenance technicians level I/ C or II/B as needed or requested

• Determines or trouble shoots extent of repairs needed and conducts research or requests additional resources from peers or maintenance supervisor or facility maintenance manager for any problems beyond area of knowledge or expertise.

• Complete other special projects or duties as assigned.

• Performs routine building maintenance such as painting walls, repair roof leaks, plumbing, repair door locks and other building related maintenance.

• Set up offices and assist with moving furniture, hanging fixtures, etc.

• Maintains cleanliness of plant, rolling equipment, machinery and maintenance areas

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Stand or walk on concrete for 8-12 hours per day
• Climb flights of metal stairs and/or metal ladders
• Hand-eye coordination for operating equipment
• Sit, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull and twist
• Lift and move 65 lbs. unassisted and 75 lbs. assisted

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEEducation Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent and certifications in most major component of Distribution Center plant maintenance and some technical college classesEducation Preferred: Certifications in all (or most) components of DC plant maintenance and college technical degree in electronic, electrical, HVAC, mechanical or industrial maintenance from an accredited institution.Experience Minimum: 5+ years of Distribution Center maintenance experienceExperience Preferred: 6+ years of industrial plant maintenance technician experience comparable to level IICORE COMPETENCIES

• Regular and predictable attendance
• Available to work scheduled hours to include overtime and weekends as required
