Major Appliance Installer - Reid's Appliances : Job Details

Overview:

Reid's Appliances is a family-owned appliance retailer with locations in Ventura and Santa Barbara. We deliver and install the majority of major appliances we sell. At this time we are seeking an installer that has firsthand experience in appliance installations. All installers report to work at our Ventura store. We strive to deliver an all-around extraordinary experience for our customers. Since this role places you as one of the final touchpoints with our clients, we are looking for someone easygoing, calm, and collected if a problem arises, and is a problem solver.

As an installer, you will be responsible for the delivery and installation of our products at our customer's homes and construction sites.

Responsibilities:

• Delivers and installs kitchen and outdoor appliances to client homes or other specified locations
• Creates partnerships with fellow employees and management to deliver exceptional customer service
• Hooks up new appliance(s) to existing customer facilities
• Utilizes a diverse assortment of hand and power tools (company-supplied) to install appliances successfully
• Modify openings in cabinetry or countertops to accept new appliance(s)
• Problem solves directly in the field when issues occur
• Effectively communicates with management the status of each stop
• Maintains a professional attitude with clients over the phone, and in person
• Safely drives and maneuvers a large box truck to the customer's job site
• Assists with maintaining and inventorying installation part levels

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment
• Ability to deadlift 75+ lbs. without any restrictions
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation to and from the workplace
• High school diploma or GED
• Pass a pre-employment background check and physical exam

Demands of the job:

• Heavy lifting and maneuvering of items weighing up to 800 lbs.
• Long hours of moving and lifting
• Candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week

Additionally, on occasion, employees may be required to perform duties that are not part of the above job description or usual tasks (i.e. warehouse work, showroom/truck maintenance). Employees are expected to perform these additional duties in a timely fashion and to the best of their ability. Employees will be paid at their regular rate of pay.
