Job Description :

As a Managed Care Contracting Specialist, you will be expected to assist the Contracting Manager with all issues related to health plans and provider downstream agreement. Assist in supporting the network strategies and network initiatives via calls or in-person outreach. The successful individual must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with others; internal as well as external contacts and resources in order to achieve desired results and resolution of issues Responsibilities: •The specialist works closely with healthplans and internal departments to communicate and implement the terms of the managed care contracts •Job Responsibilities coordinates and support contracting activities, including value-based agreements •Evaluates and reviews contract language proposals; coordinates and tracks redline and proposed drafts •Serves as an internal liaison on contract provisions and policies by providing updates and educating staff on the impact of changes •Develops and implements communication and education strategy on health plan policies and issues for CAIPA providers •Tracks, documents, and communicate the progress of contracts and contracting issues •Build and maintain provider relationships with practices through active outreach •Leading and reporting on monthly meetings. •Works with providers, health plans, and internal departments. •Assisting and completing various projects on time. •Other duties and projects as assigned in line with department and company needs. Requirements •Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively present information and respond to questions from representatives, providers, and the general public. •Proven analytical skills •Excellent multi-tasking, prioritizing, organization, and time management skills. •Knowledge and experience with Adobe, and Microsoft Office products. •Bachelor's Degree; or two years related experience and/or training. •Willing to travel 25% of the time in the field working hands-on with providers •The remainder of work will be home and office based, depending on the needs of the department Benefits
