Salary : $56,888.00 - $74,900.80 Annually Location : Saint Paul, MN Job Type: Full Time Job Number: 24-UNSP-00954 Department: Office of Neighborhood Safety Opening Date: 11/01/2024 Closing Date: 11/20/2024 11:59 PM Central About the Position The Office of Neighborhood Safety (ONS) is looking for a Management Assistant to join their team. This position will assist ONS and its management team by providing support for the programs' day-to-day operations, such as prioritizing and coordinating schedules, prioritizing incoming issues and concerns, and handling a variety of administrative tasks Here's what you can expect to do:
  • Participate on the leadership team, keeping abreast of community and social issues, and keeping other constituents and senior leaders informed of work of the Office of Neighborhood Safety.
  • Write, design, and edit, content for ONS's communication channels (e-newsletters, social media, website, and print) and work in collaboration with the city's central communications team.
  • Assist with facilitation of department meetings, events, and/or training, and handling logistics such as equipment, materials, and support.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence for the Director, internal and external customers, including completing expense reports and other reporting documents.
  • Direct information about the office and provides assistance to the public and staff regarding operations and policies/procedures.

Position Requirements A Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Urban Planning, Information Systems, Management, Business Management, Communications, or closely related field. Acceptable, related degrees may be specified by the requirements of each hiring department.
