Job Responsibilities:
Management Liability Claims Analyst to help our client on a temporary four-month assignment and work from our New York City office. This position reports into our VP, Head of Private D&O Claims, also located in New York City.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Adjudicate complex Management Liability claims requiring specialized knowledge and expertise.
- Handle Securities and Employment Litigation Claims*
- Report to claims trends and developments to senior management and underwriters
- Providing technical guidance, assistance, and training to lower level associates.
- Analyze claim forms, policies and endorsements, client instructions and other records to determine whether the loss falls within the policy coverage
- Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly.
- Interview involved parties
- Manage claims in litigation
- Manage diary timely and complete tasks to ensure that cases move to the best financial outcome and timely resolution.
- Properly set claim reserves.
- Identify, assign, and coordinate the assignment and coordination of expertise resources to assist in case resolution.
- Prepare reports for file documentation
- Applying creative solutions which result in the best financial outcome.
- Negotiate settlements
- Responsible for telephone calls and written correspondence to/from various parties (insured, claimant, etc.).
Qualifications:
- 3+ years' experience adjudicating management liability claims with exposure of $100,000 or more.
- Experience with Securities and Employment Litigation Claims or private D&O
- Active NY adjuster license
- A J.D. Degree from an accredited university is required.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to articulate the financial value of your work at multiple responsibility levels inside our clients' business which may include the CEO.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and other business-related software.
- Polished and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to read and write English fluently is required.
