What you'll need to succeed as a Manager, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery at XPO
At a minimum, you'll need:
Bachelor degree or equivalent related work or military experience
5 years of experience with IT Principals, Functions and BCDR requirements
5 years planning and executing of IT Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity exercises
Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement
Experience working with enterprise tools like (Salesforce or Fusion Risk Management)
Facilitation of large groups to meet program objectives
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree in an information technology, computer science, or engineering related field
Experience in assisting in planning events, systems and/or people
Experience working within an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework/IT Service Management Framework
Experience developing and delivering metrics and reporting
Experience working with third party IT vendors and/or software/hardware suppliers
Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) as issued by the Disaster Recovery Institute International or Certified Business Continuity Institute (CBCI) as issued by the Business Continuity Institute
Ability to work additional hours, which may include mornings, evenings and weekends if needed; ability to travel 10% of the time

What you'll do on a typical day:
Be responsible for maintaining, implementing and continually improving the BCDR processes and tools.
Work with the Business and IT partners to maintain the program for the enterprise that ensures the critical processes will always be readily available to meet the needs of customers and employees.
Create, implement and administrate the necessary program, policies, procedures, and standards for the Business Continuity Program
Create, update, and maintain the Business Impact Analysis (BIA) process for the enterprise
Evaluate BIA results for appropriateness, collect resource requirements and align with resource recovery planning
Create, update, and maintain Business Recovery Plans
Lead Business Continuity Planning efforts to identify & address business risks & resource gaps
Govern Vendor, Subsidiary and Independent BC programs directly affiliated with XPO to ensure alignment with XPO enterprise BCP policies and procedures
Plan, perform and post review Business Continuity plan exercises with critical Business units
Collaborate with Information Technology (IT) to ensure IT's Technology Disaster Recovery plans support the company's recovery requirements as defined by BIA
Coordinate Businesses involvement in IT DR exercises
Work with IT Teams to ensure critical applications recovery, testing readiness, remediate recovery gaps and risks
Administer runbooks and procedures to respond to contingency scenarios
Assist in all aspects of Disaster Recovery testing: preparation, performing, reporting and post review
Support the Command Control processes during an event/test: Sequence & Issue Management:
Track and report on completion of exercise tasks
Follow up and report on resolution of issues that occur during the event/test
Create and maintain reports of program objectives and test results
Create and maintain reports highlighting program risks, application criticality & recoverability.
Create Post Test Reports and Integrate into sustainable Executive Management Reporting
