Manager, Campus SchedulingDepartment: Campus President, EastLocation: Eastern Campus Reports To: Campus President Recruitment Type: External/Internal Requisition ID: req5745 Employment Type: Full-Time Support Staff Union Position: Non-Union Work Schedule: Monday Through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Number of Openings: 1 Job Description: SUMMARYManages the scheduling and use ofcampus facilities for academic purposes. Prepares and ensures the accuracy of all academic schedules for uploadinto the student information system and distribution. Works closely with contacts in various campusdepartments and surrounding community.ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
  • Manages the scheduling and use of campus facilities for academic purposes
  • Assigns room space and controls the master schedule of rooms for credit classes, non-credit classes and events held in classrooms
  • Works closely with contacts in various campus departments and surrounding community
  • Prepares and ensures the accuracy of all academic schedules for upload into the student information system and distribution
  • Assists the academic community in the optimization of academic spaces to maximize student success
  • Monitors and proofs the academic schedule for accuracy, completeness and effectiveness as related to student success
  • Inputs and adjusts full-time faculty assignments and workloads; monitors adjusted ESU's for PAAR reports
  • Reviews the Final Exam schedule for room conflicts and resolves/adjusts as needed
  • Assists in the creation and maintenance of course reference numbers and section records during registration and makes modifications as appropriate
  • Prepares regular and ad-hoc reports on space usage and instructional personnel
  • Processes and notifies course cancellations and schedule changes to appropriate customers and stakeholders
  • Serves as the primary liaison with College technology teams on the academic schedule, and use of academic space
  • Occasionally assumes responsibilities for coordinating and scheduling facilities for events, meetings, workshops, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING
  • Associate's Degree in a related field
    • Significant related experience may substitute for education
  • Minimum of three years of customer service experience in a fast-paced, multi-client office environment
  • Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team
  • Demonstrated experience effectively making decisions that have major implications on the management and operations within a department
  • Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS and ABILITIES
  • Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently
  • Possess working knowledge of scheduling concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION ANDEXPERIENCE/TRAINING
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in facilities scheduling in an educational or commercial environment
  • Demonstrated experience in academic scheduling and input/adjusting of faculty work load assignments
  • Demonstrated experience using scheduling tools such as Ad Astra
  • Demonstrated experience working with Enterprise Resource Plan, Banner, and/or People Soft

  • The work is performed in a normal, professional office environment;
  • The work area is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated;
  • Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the duties of the job and will perform repetitive motions with hands/fingers using a computer mouse and keyboard to type. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc.;
  • Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite
Special Note: Target Starting Salary Range: $45,000 to $50,000The final offer for the successful candidateis targeted to fall within this range but will be based upon an assessment ofinternal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate'squalifications in relation to the minimum and/or preferred jobrequirement(s).
