Metrocare programs focus on the issues that matter most in the lives of the children, families and adults we serve. The Assistant Clinical Manager is responsible for the quality management of clinical operations assigned for service delivery, tasked with ensuring regulatory compliance as well as quality services. The position is responsible for direct supervision of multiple field staff. The position is primarily on providing all aspects of management for assigned direct care staff. The individual will work in conjunction with the Clinical Manager and the rest of the management team to achieve site/program goals. HOURS OF RESPONSIBILITY: The program is open Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm. ***This is not a traditional 40 hr./week job and will require some late evening and weekend work. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The essential functions listed here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the job.
- Responsible for all aspects of assigned direct reports management.
- Provides guidance, direction, and supervision to staff to ensure quality care and implementation of processes.
- Ensure timely caseload assignment to ensure success of staff.
- Ensure accurate caseload management for all direct report staff.
- Responsible for problem solving and correction action implementation as needed.
- Participate in the hiring and supervision of site staff.
- Develops and implements strategies for performance improvement related to key performance indicators, including but not limited to, productivity, charting timeliness, and quality improvement.
- Fosters an environment of continuous quality improvement (CQI). Ensures that an on-going CQI process is developed and implemented and provides oversight to the CQI process.
- Adheres to documentation requirements related to Quality Management and regulatory agencies, such as CARF, CCBHC, and the Texas Administrative Code.
- Responsible for a creative collaborative working environment and team building.
- Provide clinical supervision, education, and training as required by various contracts and regulatory agencies.
- Establishes and maintains the highest standard of quality care and ethical practice.
- Identifies and implements strategies for overall program development and growth in conjunction with the supervision of the Clinical Manager.
- Actively participates in special projects and takes leadership roles as requested.
- Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the ethical standards of conduct, state contract, appropriate professional standards, and applicable state/federal laws.
- Exercises sound judgement and maintains current knowledge of the company's organization structure, personnel policies, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or other human service field. Masters preferred.
- REQUIRED: Mental Health Experience: 4-5 years
- REQUIRED: Management/Supervisory Experience: 3 years minimum
DRIVING REQUIRED:Yes MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Basic math skills required.
- Ability to work with reports and numbers, above average excel skills needed
- Ability to calculate moderately complex figures and amounts to accurately report activities and budgets.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions.
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to utilize Internet for resources.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state. If licensed in another state, must obtain a Texas Driver License within three (3) months of employment.
- Liability insurance is required if an employee will operate a personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business. Must be insurable by Center's liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business. Must have an acceptable driving record.
