Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cloud Security Engineering Manager to lead our team of cloud security engineers. In this role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and management of robust cloud security solutions to protect our organization's cloud infrastructure and data. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership experience, and a proven track record in securing cloud environments.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of cloud security engineers.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and professional development of team members.
  • Set team goals, evaluate performance, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Cloud Security Strategy:

  • Define and implement the organization's cloud security roadmap and strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure security is integrated into all phases of the cloud lifecycle.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud security trends, threats, and best practices.

Cloud Security Operations:

  • Oversee the deployment and management of cloud-native security tools and platforms.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2) and organizational policies.

Incident Response:

  • Lead the response to cloud security incidents, ensuring timely mitigation and resolution.
  • Develop and maintain incident response playbooks for cloud-specific threats.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with engineering, Security Operations, Network Operations, IT teams, and other organizational support teams to ensure secure deployment and operation of cloud workloads.
  • Provide executive leadership with regular updates on cloud security posture and initiatives.

Automation and Innovation:

  • Drive automation in security processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Evaluate and recommend new cloud security technologies and solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud security or cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices, including zero trust, identity and access management (IAM), and data encryption.
  • Experience with cloud-native security tools (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Sentinel, Google Chronicle) and third-party tools (e.g., Prisma Cloud, CrowdStrike).
  • Well versed with CSPM – Cloud Security Posture management best practice and tools.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience in DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline security.
  • Experience managing hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
