Job Description :
Summary The Manager of Enterprise Solutions is responsible for leading a team that installs, administers, maintains, and monitors business-critical software systems, including both Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions. The role ensures the smooth operation, integration, and optimization of these solutions to support organizational efficiency and strategic objectives. The manager will collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex software environments.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and administration of business solutions, including COTS and PaaS/SaaS platforms, ensuring they meet organizational requirements.
  • Manage a team of administrators responsible for the day-to-day monitoring, maintenance, and support of business systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve system issues, collaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders as necessary.
  • Ensure all business systems are updated with the latest patches, upgrades, and security enhancements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support the integration of business solutions with existing IT infrastructure and ensure smooth workflows between systems.
  • Maintain enterprise inventory of business solutions including identification of solution owner.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system administration, including processes, configuration settings, and user guides.
  • Create and implement policies and procedures to optimize system performance, security, and data integrity.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring service-level agreements (SLAs) are met and that support is available when needed.
  • Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity plans related to COTS and PaaS/SaaS solutions, ensuring minimal downtime during incidents.
  • Lead and mentor the business solutions administration team, providing technical guidance and fostering career development.
  • Monitor and manage budgets related to software licensing, subscription renewals, and other related costs.
  • Prepare and present reports on system performance, incident resolution, and improvement plans to senior leadership.
  • Stay current on industry trends and advancements in business software solutions, recommending and implementing new technologies to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications
  • Strong experience in managing the administration and support of business solutions, particularly COTS and PaaS/SaaS platforms.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop technical staff.
  • Solid understanding of system integration, security, performance optimization, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with IT governance, security best practices, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong vendor management experience, including contract negotiations and service-level management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, system lifecycle management, and business continuity practices.
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role overseeing system administration or business solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with COTS and PaaS/SaaS platform administration and management.
  • Professional certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or relevant vendor-specific certifications are preferred.
