Job Description

The Manager of Facilities will oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of multiple campus locations. This role is responsible for assisting the Executive Director with managing facilities staff, and coordinating with external vendors, while ensuring the safety of each facilityBackfilling this position is critical to maintaining seamless operations within Facilities Services. The role is integral to overseeing day-to-day activities, ensuring that facilities are properly maintained, and that all services continue to meet the operational needs of the organization. Without a dedicated Manager of Facilities Services, there is a risk of operational disruptions, delays in maintenance, and an overall decline in service quality. By filling this role, we can ensure that our facilities remain in optimal condition, support the needs of staff and students, and uphold safety standards.

Essential Functions:

Maintenance and Operation: Assist in overseeing daily operations of facilities across multiple campuses, ensuring they are all well-maintained and fully operational.

Safety and Compliance: Assist with ensuring all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards.

Project Management: Assist in planning and overseeing facility related projects to ensure they are completed in a timely manner and to the required standards.

Budget and Resource Management: Assisting in monitoring expenses and implementing cost saving measures without compromising quality and safety.

Vehicle Operation: Operate state vehicles and equipment safely.

Communication and Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to address facility needs while providing regular updates to their supervisor.

Physical Exertion: Perform physically demanding tasks requiring strength and frequent moderate lifting (30-60 lbs), often in awkward positions.

Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Associate's degree in Facilities Management or related field preferred.

5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or construction management.

Proven leadership and team management skills.

Ability to assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
