The Health and Welfare Council of Long Island (HWCLI) is a private, not for profit, health and human services planning, research/public education and advocacy organization that serves as the umbrella for public and non-profit agencies serving Long Island's poor and vulnerable individuals and families.The Health Equity Alliance of Long Island (HEALI) is Long Island's Social Care Network (SCN) of community-based organizations (CBOs) and healthcare providers building a person centric model that integrates healthcare, social care, and behavioral health care. HWCLI is the lead entity for the HEALI Social Care Network.JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: Manager, Information Technology & SecurityHWCLI seeks an energetic, enthusiastic, and socially conscious IT professional to support the HEALI mission. The core responsibilities of the IT Manager position are to ensure the data and information security of the growing SCN network, facilitate successful implementation and integration of data sharing platforms between the State and the SCN's provider network, help the network achieve HITECH certification, and manage and evaluate the ongoing performance of the network's cybersecurity vendor. The role reports to the Senior Director of Data and Technology.Responsibilities include:Establish and manage the development of IT security standards, best practices, architecture and systems to ensure information system security across the organization;Work closely with key network stakeholders, internal IT staff, data custodians and the broader SCN governance infrastructure in the development of IT policies;Oversee the administration of HEALI's health information security technologies including: identity & access management (IAM) and directory services, antimalware, disk encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection, asset tracking & recovery, VPN, and DLP;Facilitate the IT risk management process and establish applicable plans to ensure compliance and proactive risk management practices are in place across the organization;Perform oversight of internal information system risk and business impact assessments;Support the implementation of new systems and technologies, including by providing technical assistance to IT staff both internally and externally;Manage implementation of workflows for the collection and monitoring of health and social care information;Monitor and evaluate changes or advancements in technology and systems;Collaborate with external partners (e.g., CBOs, managed care organizations, providers, government agencies) on technical and data-related matters.Qualifications, Required Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar field required. Master's preferred.5+ years managerial experience in information technology and security, preferably in the healthcare or social service sectors.Experience with health IT data standards, tools, and processes such as HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, and IHE.Familiarity with state and federal information privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and their impact on data systems and data management.Familiarity with common data security frameworks such as National Institute of Standards and Technology cybersecurity framework (NIST 800-53).Strong commitment to social justice and HWCLI's mission.Salary and Benefits:Salary range: $85,000.00-$100,000.00/yearRetirement plan with Employer contribution after 1-year, disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, health insurance, paid time-off.Hybrid work environment.Opportunity to work in a dynamic environment on a new state-wide initiative to improve health equity.Schedule: Monday – Friday.HWCLI is an equal opportunity employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
