We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager with expertise in international logistics to oversee and optimize global supply chain operations. This role emphasizes managing contracts with ocean carriers and drayage providers, ensuring smooth and cost-effective transportation of goods. Knowledge of import operations and compliance with international trade regulations is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities:

* International Logistics Oversight: Plan, coordinate, and manage global logistics operations, focusing on the efficient movement of goods across international borders.

* Ocean Carrier Contracts: Support management in managing contracts with shipping carriers to ensure competitive rates and high-quality services

* Drayage Operations: Oversee drayage contracts to ensure timely transportation between ports and final destinations.

* Import Operations: Collaborate with customs brokers and internal teams to streamline import processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

* Vendor and Partner Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics providers, including shipping lines, trucking companies, and customs agents.

* Cost Management: Analyze transportation costs and implement strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining service quality.

* Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.

* Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage logistics technology and analytics to optimize operations, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement.

* Complete/drive projects that improve processes, standardization, and communication with Procurement, Finance and Partners.

* Coordinate product delivery schedules with customers and communicate and resolve scheduling issues by working with customers and vendors.

* Coordinate daily activity to track location and movement of materials via Ocean, rail cars, and trucks, providing reports to customers, as required.

* Ensures that goods are shipped in the most timely and efficient manner according to documented processes, including planning the transportation route and payload, selecting the mode of transportation, tendering the order for transportation, and tracking the shipment from pick up through delivery all the while targeting cost reduction, freight savings, service, and contractual requirements.

* Codes, and prepares proper paperwork for billing and authorization of a variety of invoices per defined processes.

* Track and report KPIs for the shipping/receiving team and develop corrective actions for metrics that are not within specification.

* Other responsibilities assigned as business demands.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, International Business, Logistics, or a related field.

* Proven experience in logistics management with a focus on international shipping, ocean freight, and drayage operations.

* 5+ years in an operational or logistics role,

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and stakeholders.

* Strong understanding of import operations, customs procedures, and trade compliance.

* Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, TMS, or similar platforms).

* Excellent negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to analyze complex supply chain challenges and implement innovative solutions.

* Familiarity with Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and Incoterms.

* Knowledge of port operations and drayage market trends.
