Job SummaryThe Manager, Maintenance is responsible for leading and overseeing the planning, organizing, developing, and executing the comprehensive maintenance program across all cultivation and processing facilities in their assigned region. This role involves strategic oversight of maintenance operations, ensuring optimal performance and compliance across multiple locations, and leading the Maintenance Managers at each facility.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance across all assigned facilities, ensuring operational consistency and efficiency.
- Provide strategic direction and support to Maintenance Managers at each facility, ensuring the proper performance and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing systems as well as cultivation and processing equipment.
- Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex maintenance issues involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment repair/replacement across all facilities.
- Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and proactiveness within the maintenance teams, serving as a mentor and leader in best practices and technical skills development.
- Oversee the preventive maintenance program, ensuring all activities are executed on schedule and in accordance with the highest standards across all locations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations concerning safety, security, and maintenance operations, leading the maintenance of required documentation and certifications.
- Manage relationships and contracts with external contractors and service providers, including reviewing, negotiating, and overseeing service agreements to ensure optimal service levels and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) across all assigned locations, ensuring effective maintenance scheduling, record keeping, and reporting utilization.
- Lead the development and management of the maintenance budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and cost control across all facilities.
- Coordinate the recruitment, training, and professional development of maintenance personnel, fostering a high-performance maintenance team.
- Act as a key stakeholder in strategic planning and decision-making processes related to facility maintenance, expansion, and upgrades.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in facility and equipment maintenance, with at least 4 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple facilities or locations.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing maintenance strategies and SOPs.
- Comprehensive electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems, and cultivation/processing equipment maintenance knowledge.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills. Must be 21 years of age or older and able to successfully register with the state's cannabis commission as an agent.
- Must comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications in Project Management, Electrical, HVAC, and/or Plumbing.
- Experience in the cannabis industry or similar regulated sectors.

Comfortable working atop and traversing scaffolding, when required. Comfortable with changing environment temperatures and humidity. Exposure to pollen, dust, dander, and other nature elements. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.
