Linde Engineering North America LLCManager, Material Group (Rotating)Tonawanda, NY, United States | req17537What you will enjoy doingYou will function as a working department leader to set expectations, goals, monitor performance and provide coaching to 2-3 direct reports as well as provide training and continual development for the teamFurther you will be collaborating with LE global strategic sourcing team within EMEA and APAC to create, maintain and negotiate local and/or global frame agreements consistent with Linde Engineering product line strategy and business interestsSupporting projects Tendering - e.g. selecting bidders, designing contracts, evaluation of risks, negotiating commercial conditions and prices in line with the project execution strategy is part of your team's roleUsing available forecasts, understand and identify all corresponding risks and opportunities and obtain best in class supplier price and delivery performanceYou will be leading timely review of all proposals and ensure most competitive opportunity is included in capital project proposal estimate. Facilitate technical & commercial TCO evaluations with stakeholdersClose alignment with Sales and Linde Gas in terms of CostEstimation, Supplier Selection and Execution StrategiesActively manage key suppliers and foster strategic relationships creating a competitive advantage for Linde EngineeringEstablish KPI's with Key suppliers to effectively drive supplier behaviors. Lead supplier measurement process with relevant Engineering, Operations and Business inputIn addition you will leading and/or executing negotiations and purchase order execution including supplement and claim managementWhat makes you greatYou have a Bachelor 's degree in Engineering (BS) (Mechanical or Chemical preferred), MBA preferredYou have at least eight years of industry experience in direct support of capital projectsPMP certification is desirable, further experience with Commercial Contracts is a plusEnthusiasm for the digital transformation of procurementKnowledge of Microsoft and procurement SAP modules is advantageousYou have effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the organizationAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsAbility to travel up to 20% is requiredWhy you will love working with usLinde Engineering Americas (LEA) is a member of the Linde Engineering Division of Linde plc.
