Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Parking & Transportation, this position will manage and prepare for day-to-day event parking at UBS Arena in Elmont, NY.

Work Environment:
The duties of this position are split between the office environment and outdoors on event days. Be prepared to work in different weather conditions. Must uphold and maintain a customer friendly environment.
This role will pay a salary of $75,000 to $85,000.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure operational excellence and high-quality service by developing and implementing efficient procedures with emphasis on continual improvement.
- Hire, develop, train, and support team of in-house part-time parking supervisors, ambassadors, and porters.
- Perform minor maintenance of Parking (PARCS) devices (ticket jams in pay stations, repair barrier gates).
- Train designated staff on remote management of Parking (PARCS) systems.
- Inspect all parking systems/devices to ensure they are operational.
- Work with the Operations Department to ensure all events are set up to the client's specifications and that all fire codes and safety regulations are being followed.
- Coordinate and provide clear, concise, and timely communication with building staff of all requirements necessary for events by preparing and distributing detailed Event Data Sheets, diagrams, and event staffing requirements for each assigned event.
- Ability to problem solve, make quick decisions and delegate responsibility while remaining professional and pleasant during stressful situations.
- Recommend and evaluate required event staffing levels based on event budgets.
- Responsible for the hiring, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, scheduling, training and development of part-time parking staff.
- Assist Director with creating new parking products, additional revenue streams, and reducing costs of the parking and transportation operation.
- Assist Director with working towards sustainability goals, including revenue, PARCS system, and operational audits.
- Assist with strategic planning, traffic management planning, and budgeting.
- Review/analyze guest surveys and other performance measures to maximize operational performance.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in parking/transportation management, event management preferred.
- Knowledge of parking revenue management systems.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have the ability to work flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be comfortable working with the public and have strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Valid driver license required.
