POSITION TITLE: Manager of Product Management

American Eagle Outfitters is looking for a Manager to join our Product Management team - a product leader who embraces the spirit of our iconic brands and champions the needs of our Associates and Customers to drive REAL value for the AEO business.
The Manager of Product Management will be responsible for building strategy and delivery of initiatives that support the product vision and roadmaps within your area of responsibility. You must work with a key set of stakeholders to deliver technology solutions to keep pace with the ever changing retail environment. Responsibilities also include managing and developing both product and associate product managers that support your area. You will be part of a team with a technology first mindset tasked with building systems, operations and processes to deliver exceptional associate experiences that will accelerate our global brand value and recognition.
You must be a strong problem solver, a clear communicator and exceptional leader domain to oversee critical product portfolios. You will be a consummate coach and player - guiding and contributing to a team that is transforming its day-to-day, to meet the demands of a global, omni-channel world.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Manage the overarching roadmaps in partnership with cross-functional teams
* Build and maintain strong partnerships and relationships with cross-functional partners, ensuring business expectations are met
* Drive complex programs across platforms and in partnership with digital, stores, and distribution center teams
* Champion the needs of the customer and AEO business goals
* Directly or indirectly manage and coach a team to successfully deliver across a common domain
* Blend strong business acumen, technical problem solving and agile execution
* Lead the prioritization of features and understand the art of sequencing delivery with an agile framework
* Vet scope, requirements, use case/user scenario, test case documents and design specifications in partnership with delivery teams
* Proactively identify issues and work with both external and internal partners to understand options and to execute solutions
* Develop metrics to measure success of program features, analyze results, and partner across the organization to develop action plans and enhancement recommendations
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Proven track record of delivering products that meet and exceed expectations
* Domain expertise in Retail is preferred
* Self-starter with problem solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to executives, interfacing daily with internal stakeholders
* Experience managing/leading a team of product managers in delivery
* 5 - 7+ years related experience in product management, having contributed to multiple software projects throughout the entire development cycle
* Experience driving product strategy and delivery for US and International markets is an advantage
* Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management, and planning skills
* Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
* Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
* Experience with agile development
* Data driven mindset and track record
* Sound business acumen

* Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
