Job Summary:
The Manager of the Testing Center's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing oversight for the overall management of LIT's Testing Center in both the Eagles' Nest and Workforce and Allied Health Training Center. This role provides direct oversight of the testing processes and procedures, including placement testing, national licensure and certificate testing, and proctoring of exams. This position reports directly to the AVP of Student Services, and is an exempt level position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Manages the day-to-day operations of the Testing Center, ensuring the integrity of all tests administered
* Supervise and conduct annual performance evaluations of the Testing Center staff
* Maintains knowledge of state and federal regulations governing testing and online education, including FERPA
* Administers secure national and state exams and enforces testing rules and regulations.
* Reports misconduct and irregularities to appropriate department, vendor and testing staff.
* Maintains all certifications/trainings required by test vendors
* Offer exceptional customer service in a student-centered, professional environment at all times.
* Upholds and agrees to comply with all federal, state, and local requirements pertaining to the security, confidentiality, and privacy of information maintained by institution, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
* Serve on college task forces, committees and councils as required.
* Evenings and weekends may be required based on the needs of the college
* Other duties as assigned.
* Must not need to take any tests offered at Testing Center, as testing vendors have restrictions, nor may Coordinator of Testing Center oversee testing of anyone they have a vested interest in.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to: remain in a stationary position for most of the time; occasionally move about inside an office to access documents, office equipment, etc.; constantly operate a computer or other office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
* A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university
* Two years of work experience in a related field in either the private sector, with a state agency, or higher education and experience with special populations.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
* A master's degree from a regionally accredited university with a focus in Education, Leadership, or Counseling
* Three years or more of work experience in testing
* Above average skills in the utilization of computer systems, Banner, Argos, and Microsoft Office applications
