We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payroll administration. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process, including payroll calculations, deductions, and disbursements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
- Supervise and train payroll staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
- Review payroll reports and processes for accuracy, addressing discrepancies as necessary.
- Coordinate with HR for employee onboarding, terminations, and changes in employment status.
- Prepare and submit payroll-related tax filings and reports.
- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Stay updated on payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in payroll management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and MS Excel.
- Familiarity with federal and state payroll tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation.
- Experience with HRIS systems and integration with payroll.
