Position Information:LOCATIONS: Binghamton, NY; Mechanicville, NY; Ithaca, NY; or Brewster, NYSALARY RANGE: The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $122,700 - $168,700Schedule: Office - on siteRecruiter: Cynthia HarrallJOB SUMMARY:Scope of Work:Manages one or more functional areas within a region such as Line, Gas, Meter, Substation, and Field Customer Service. Provides leadership and direction to achieve goals and implement change. Responsibilities include safety, reliability, customer satisfaction, cost-effective resource allocation, staff selection and development, process improvement and oversight, major project management and daily field operations activities. Coordinates and participates in problem-resolution and emergency response with other functions and subject matter experts. Ensures administrative matters such as payroll, budgets, performance reviews, safety, scheduling, and work management reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Requires contact with the public, contractors, local government agencies and officials, other utilities, and the media. Requires extensive travel throughout region and occasional travel outside region.MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develops and implements annual business plan including O&M and Capital budgets. Monitors ongoing progress and reallocates resources as necessary to ensure goal achievement (Safety, Reliability, and Customer Service). Oversee and evaluate work processes. Identifies and implements process improvements. Creates a climate of innovation, in which ideas for process improvement are continually encouraged from within the organization. May be responsible for reporting and performance tracking. May be responsible for Senior Management budget analysis, KPI and mandated inspection reporting. Selects, trains, and develops personnel. Guides and appraises work of subordinates. Rewards and disciplines as appropriate. Coordinates key contract bids and awards with Procurement.Researches and resolves invoice processing and payments with Finance and Procurement. Ensures compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, guidelines, and safe work procedures as established in the APM and SOPs. Oversees, supports and participates in service restoration process during electric and gas emergencies. Coordinates cross-functional problem solving. Resolves employee relations, labor relations, and customer relations issues. With a strong emphasis on developing & nurturing long-term constructive relationships with, peers, subordinates, and union leadership. Performs other duties as assigned.Education & Experience Required:•Bachelor's degree with 7 years relevant experience, or equivalent required.Skills/Abilities:

  • Prior experience with project management preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with Utility professionals across the company.

  • Leadership experience in a union environment preferred.
