Position Summary

The Manager, Research & Programming is responsible for collecting and analyzing data, data visualization, making recommendations and presentations, and reporting data based upon findings in support of reaching GCP's strategic goals, as well as the E&I Department's strategic priorities. They will collaborate as a thought partner to the Director and contribute program and project management expertise for workshops, conferences, and events, with direction from the Director, Equity and Inclusion Initiatives and Senior Vice President of the Equity & Inclusion Department. This role directly supports the Inclusive Opportunity initiative of increasing the number of underrepresented workers in middle/high wage roles and requires a high level of data analysis and the ability to tell stories through data. Additional components of this role include customer service and effective communication with internal and external partners, volunteer leaders, and GCP members. The candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders across the organization and partnerships to accomplish this work.

The ideal candidate for this position should be grounded in sound data analysis skills, able to communicate through messaging and data visualization, strong project management skills, and comfortable working in ambiguity. Additionally, the candidate should have a passion to enhance equity and inclusion initiatives in the workplace.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of annual E&I Organization Assessment, including administering to regional partners, other chambers, and initiatives.
  • Manage, and lead research and data analysis activities for industry benchmarking, best practices, workforce demographics, and online research.
  • Create and develop data reports, presentations, visualizations, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develops pre and post-event survey materials.
  • Lead presentations to internal and external partners on the E&I Organization Assessment and other topics as assigned.
  • Regularly review and validate data for consistency and completeness to ensure reliable reporting.
  • Serve as primary contact for database/survey vendors to troubleshoot problems and implement improvements.
  • Manage annual Best in Class Awards process, including data analysis, coordinating with events team on logistics, etc.
  • Collaborate within GCP to improve data collection, reporting, and identify new data needs.
  • Updates CRM system and departmental/internal databases with attendance and other relevant data.
  • Additional ad hoc reporting, special project, and duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • 1 – 3 years of project management or program management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, e.g., Business Management, Economics, etc. or 3 – 5 years of data analysis responsibilities in leu of degree
  • Prior use of survey programs including building surveys and collecting and analyzing data from online platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Prior use of customer relationship management databases (e.g., Salesforce, Access or similar)
  • Experience with data modeling, creating visualizations and dashboards in PowerBi strongly preferred.

  • Intermediate-to-high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and be adaptable.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in time management: responsive to last minute requests and able to meet deadlines.
