We are seeking a Workday HRIS Manager to join our global HR team. This position will be responsible for the architecture, configuration and on on-going maintenance of our Workday HCM system and business processes. We are looking for someone who can partner with teams, brings creativity and innovation and effectively collaborate across multiple internal stakeholders. This position serves as a technical point of contact for functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Manager also supports upgrades, releases, testing and other technical products.
How you will make a difference @ FARO
Serve as the Workday HCM systems subject-matter expert with expert-level understanding of core HR functionalities including recruiting, compensation, benefits, payroll, and performance management.
Maintains internal database files and tables and develops custom reports to meet the requirements of Human Resources management and staff
Works with Human Resources personnel to evaluate HRIS software and hardware needs and may design new or modify existing HRIS to meet changing demands
Support Global Payroll teams to coordinate retrieval and reporting functions
Serve as HR department liaison to IT functions
Owns the global development, implementation, and maintenance of Workday
Researches and drives the bi-annual Workday release implementations
Partners closely with HR, IT, and Business stakeholders to gather requirements, architect solutions, and drive the implementation in Workday following FARO HR Change Management Policy
Designs and implements a scalable systems architecture to flex with changing business needs
Collaborates and acts as a key consult with internal and external partners to define, build, and maintain integrations between Workday and core business systems
Leads configuration, testing, and administration of core Workday business processes, security maintenance, and data loads
Proactively reviews and improves internal technical documentation and ensures compliance with company policies and SOX regulations
Trains and advises HR team on updated configuration, system utilization to support efficient and effective processes
Leads regular data and quality audits
This position requires
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Information Management Systems, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
Five plus years of Workday HCM
Systems implementation experience
Demonstrated advanced wide-ranging experience in Workday HRIS modules including recruiting, advanced compensation, benefits, payroll, time & absence, reporting, performance management, and talent management
In-depth experience with Workday security processes, integrations, data loads, and system releases
Experience with Global HR processes and legal/statutory requirements
Ability to thrive in ambiguity and excel at finding clarity where others see complexity
Experience capturing business requirements, translating into technical requirements, providing solutions, and executing system configuration
Experience leading projects with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage and maintain confidential information
Oversee system security, data integrity, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain and present technical topics to all levels of employees
