As a young business with a great track record of growth, Fluency is looking to truly launch and scale its presence in the US.We're looking for a commercially focused Director to work with our leadership team to better establish and develop the Fluency US location and offer. Ultimately, working with Fluency's leadership group to grow a local team and a client base, and deliver the Fluency offer in and adjacent to the market.The role will be based in New York, but we expect significant collaboration with our other US andGlobal offices, and readiness to travel as required. This role will report into the Fluency CEO based in London, UK.ABOUT THE ROLETo deliver against our growth vision, we are expanding our footprint in the US to access more clients and opportunities, faster. - Own the US business pipeline, capitalising on both a fast-growing market and on Fluency's solid foundation in products, positioning, and client base. You should feel comfortable driving seven figure revenues in Year 1 with the support of a new business function at a business and divisional level - while fundamentally relying on your energy, networks, and skill. You will be ready and eager to scale revenues in year 2 and beyond.
- Lead the US team as we continue to grow, supporting the CEO and other senior leaders in the development of a global team structure that efficiently delivers profitable, first-class work to our brilliant clients. The role will enjoy a good degree of entrepreneurial independence day-to-day, with the support of senior Fluency leaders.
- Deliver against Fluency's core proposition of helping client decision-makers deliver stronger outcomes, by connecting deeper insight and foresight to smarter actions - unlocking true commercial advantage at speed and scale through the fluent connection of diverse datasets with cutting-edge technology.
- Contribute to the development of the Fluency proposition and its innovative products, and the role will take a position on M&C Saatchi's US Board as Fluency helps shape the data agenda with the wider Group.ABOUT YOUTo unlock this opportunity, you'll demonstrate:

- Background: significant experience of working in a marketing and communications data environment, and experience of the power and application of diverse data sources. Client-side experience also welcomed.
- Knowledge & Experience: Solid understanding of diverse data sources, tools, and methods, the generation of consumer and business strategic insight and foresight, and similar understanding of downstream effectiveness and ROI, alongside the ability to deliver outstanding quality of work - with proven cases to demonstrate this. A broader and intuitive understanding of the marketing services ecosystem, to enable collaboration with other marketing services.
- New business: A proven track record of winning and developing new and existing client work and an extensive network of warm client relationships.
- Thinking: Ability to understand diverse brand & marketing challenges from strategic, commercial and creative perspectives, and calm under pressure and able to solve problems.
