Job Description :
  • Types of Manual Machines: Bridgeport, Manual Mill, Manual Lathe, Boring Mill, Prototrak, Press Brake, Drill Press, ID Grinder, OD Grinder, JIG Grinder and More
  • Read blueprints to determine what equipment and materials are necessary for the job
  • Follow the blueprints to create the appropriate tools and components
  • Operate your machines to grind, cut, and polish the materials
  • Finish projects using manual tools
  • Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure they remain in good working order
  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other quality control devices, as well as use the measurements gathered to properly adjust program and tool parameters to achieve quality standards.
  • Maintain machine preventive maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Keep surrounding work area clean and organized.

Ability to read and understand blueprints including GD&T tolerancing with profile tolerancing preferred. Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+years' experience on a manual mill and a manual lathe
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing a plus but not required.
Language Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
