Below is the detailed requirement Job Title: Manual QA Engineer Location: NY (once or twice a week onsite) Duration: 12 Months Contract Exp: 7+ yrs minimum Position Overview (90% Manual Testing - 10% Automation) We are seeking an experienced Functional Test Analyst specializing in HR systems testing, with a strong focus on data validation and system migration testing. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in manual testing methodologies and a deep understanding of HR business processes. Key Responsibilities Testing & Quality Assurance
- Design and execute test cases for HR system migrations and integrations
- Perform comprehensive data validation testing across multiple HR systems
- Verify data accuracy and consistency during migration processes
- Execute end-to-end testing of HR business processes
- Document and track defects using test management tools
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation
Data Validation & Migration - Validate data mapping specifications and transformation rules
- Test data integration points between HR systems
- Verify historical data migration accuracy
- Perform reconciliation testing of migrated data
- Execute parallel testing between legacy and new systems
Process & Documentation - Create and maintain test plans and test cases
- Document testing procedures and methodologies
- Prepare test summary reports and metrics
- Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders
- Maintain testing documentation and traceability matrices
Required Qualifications:
Technical Skills - Experience with HR system testing and migrations
- Strong knowledge of data validation techniques
- Proficiency in test management tools
- Experience with defect tracking systems
- Understanding of SQL for data validation
Domain Knowledge: - Deep understanding of HR business processes
- Experience with payroll and benefits systems testing
- Knowledge of HR data structures and relationships
- Understanding of data privacy and security requirements
Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years focusing on HR systems
- Strong experience in manual testing methodologies
- Proven experience in data migration testing and validation
