Job Description :
Columbus Technical College seeks an individual to serve as an instructor for manufacturing-related courses (credit and non-credit). Under general supervision, this individual will prepare course content, teach an established curriculum, provide instruction, organize, and supervise students. This position may require day, evening, weekend, and/or online instruction. (Work schedule can be flexible based on applicant availability). This position is part-time/non-exempt.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Teach classes as assigned
  • Organize, instruct, and supervise students in classroom settings
  • Deliver effective individualized instruction
  • Meet established deadlines for the development and delivery of curriculum
  • Maintain program documents and records
  • Ensure consistency in course materials, methods of instruction, and student records
  • Assist with student recruitment
  • Assist with the execution of special events, projects and activities as requested
  • Operate effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrate trustworthiness and responsible behavior
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of industry experience in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, Mechatronics, Machining, Electronics, or related field
  • Teaching experience in a classroom and/or industrial setting

  • Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification, diploma, or degree concentration in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, Mechatronics, Machining, Electronics, or a related field
  • Directly related teaching experience at the postsecondary level
  • Industry recognized manufacturing or safety certifications
