Job Description :

Leads and performs engineering-related tasks working independently that are varied and very complex, which require troubleshooting, interpreting data and development of new methods or procedures for a variety of situations. Develops business cases for new manufacturing technology to be implemented in various areas of manufacturing to improve overall business efficiency and profitability

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads a variety of engineering assignments to develop and implement production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in a cost efficient manner
  • Provides liaison support between the engineering department and manufacturing.
  • Recommends and implements improvements and/or modifications for sequence of operations, equipment utilization and related matters
  • Research and report on new manufacturing technologies( e.g. Robotics, Laser Welding, Vision systems)
  • Develop and present business cases for new manufacturing technologies( e.g. Robotics, Laser Welding, Vision systems) that would improve the business
  • Work with operations to identify areas of technological improvement
  • Leads proposals regarding the purchase or building of new equipment or modernization of existing production/processing equipment
  • Recommends methods of manufacture during design of new products; recommends design modifications or process changes
  • Leads the install of new tools, fixtures, and equipment into the facility.
  • Performs full range of managerial responsibilities which may include but not be limited to: interviewing, hiring, coaching and developing employees, planning, assigning and directing work; EEO/AA; performance management; department budget
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Job Skills Requirements

    Extensive knowledge of engineering concepts, practices and procedures engineering standards and systems

    Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing production/cell development

    Ability to read and interpret computer aided drawings and prints

    Strong project management skills and ability to lead teams

    Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with and motivate a diverse group of people

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

    Education

    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related field

    Experience Requirements

    Seven years of engineering experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
