Position Summary:This individual will be responsible for conducting design reviews, creating simple mechanical designs, and providing technical support. The engineer will also plan and design product applications, manage complex activities, and oversee the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of engineering projects within a tier-one automotive supplier machining manufacturing facility.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
- Estimate production times, staffing needs, and associated costs.
- Transition products from development to mass production.
- Assist in reviewing contractor plans, including setting goals, objectives, schedules, and timelines.
- Oversee budgeting and provide technical direction and support.
- Serve as a business liaison and attend briefings with senior management, assisting with problem resolution.
- Design and test electronic products; write test procedures.
- Conduct product/process analysis to drive cost reduction, improve quality, and enhance efficiency.
- Develop and test tools, machinery, and equipment for optimized manufacturing methods.
- Participate in shift meetings and perform 5S (Sort, Set-in-Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) duties.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:
- B.S. degree preferred in Engineering. An Associate degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with a minimum of four (4) years of experience/training is also acceptable.
- Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and methods.
- Proficiency in machining, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical skills, including PLC and CNC.
- Experience with lean manufacturing techniques.
