Compensation Range: $74,000 - $92,300
Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.
Job Purpose
Our EnerSys/ABSL operation based in Longmont, CO is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and optimizing cutting-edge manufacturing processes for the production of state-of-the-art Lithium-Ion batteries. You will work closely with a dynamic team on the front lines of space component technology and have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Reviewing flight hardware drawings to ensure design for manufacturability and compliance with internal and external standards.
* Supporting new design programs and providing input to complex manufacturing issues.
* Generating assembly work instructions for complex tasks.
* Preparing and making revision changes to manufacturing documentation and processes to improve product quality and procedures.
* Designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing tooling for battery builds and associated systems.
* Providing CAD drafting and design support for manufacturing.
Qualifications
Required
* 0- 2 years of manufacturing work experience.
* Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline such as Engineering (Electrical, Aerospace, or Mechanical preferred), Math, or Physics.
Preferred
* SolidWorks/CAD drafting and design experience.
* Experience with spot welding processes.
* Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for work instruction authoring (Aegis Factory Logix).
* Experience with Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) equipment (mills, pick and place machines, robots, 3D printers).
* Experience working in clean room environments and under ESD protections.
* Familiarity with NASA standards and aerospace manufacturing practices.
* Previous work in an AS9100 facility.
