Overview:
As we take our business into the future, we have identified the need to add to our Manufacturing Engineering Team bench to drive our customer experience through improved process, design planning and product accuracy.
The Manufacturing Engineer is at entry, responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through BOM management, material optimizations, cut list creation and CNC programming. Upon advancement, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for identifying and implementing manufacturing process improvements, establishing/training to manufacturing best practices and creating manufacturing plans to ensure efficiency and accuracy in the assembly process at each station. This is a hands-on role that will have direct impact on our Product Development and Manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain Computer Numerical Control (CNC) programs using AlphaCAM software. Work with the Manufacturing Engineer II to identify and implement improvements to the CNC programming and manufacturing processes.
- Create and manage production cut list and material optimizations.
- Support the development of manufacturing processes and documentation of visual standard work.
- Support problem solving and corrective actions related to manufacturing processes.
- BOM and manufacturing routing creation and maintenance in the MRP/ERP system.
- Support the design, creation, tracking and control of manufacturing jigs and fixtures.
- Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a Manufacturing related engineering field required.
- Minimum of 1-3 years working in a manufacturing related field required.
- Drawing experience using AutoCad Inventor, SolidWorks or equivalent 3D drawing program a plus.
- Basic CNC programming skills using AlphaCAM, Master CAM or similar program.
- Knowledge and experience in Lean and Continuous Improvement.
- Must have a strong attention to detail.
- Must be assertive with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be skilled at trouble shooting and resolving mechanical or logistical problems that arise.
- Must have ability to work in a fast-paced production and engineering environment with a will to win.
