Requirements:
  • 4-year Engineering degree with a Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical focus
  • 5 years of engineering experience in industrial manufacturing
Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to the following):
  • Analyzing equipment failure data to identify patterns and trends applying engineering principles to develop and implement countermeasures to prevent re-occurrence including develop/revise PM's with proper granularity and cadence.
  • Devising PM strategies and spare parts lists.
  • Conducting root cause analysis to determine the underlying cause of problems on equipment in effort to maximize equipment uptime and throughput.
  • Developing and implementing new maintenance procedures and standard work for repair.
  • Designing and implementing new procedures for monitoring and testing equipment.
  • Finding new technologies and processes that can improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure that reliability is integrated into all aspects of the organization.
  • Managing a variety of capital and non-capital projects as the Project Manager or Project Lead. Utilizing fundamentals of project management, i.e. scope, specification, design review, budget and WBS/Schedule governed by change management. Knowledge of FEL process a plus.
  • Effectively communicating project expectations to team members in a clear and timely manner; delegate as needed.
  • Scheduling contractors and manage day-to-day activities to complete projects on time
  • Improving equipment reliability and operation through analysis of data and experimental evaluation
  • Implementing appropriate plans to improve profitability by maximizing efficiency to include waste, speed, delay, and raw material usage using Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Managing the coordination, implementation and standardization of manufacturing process improvement and tooling.
  • Performing work measurement studies, including time studies, process capability studies and uptime studies to meet pre-determined goals prior to formal handoff of project to manufacturing.
  • Directly involved with continuous improvement teams, which may include being facilitator of a team or group of teams.
  • Incorporating safety into all aspects of the department and ensure safe working conditions during all activities associated within the manufacturing environment.
  • Researching, justifying, designing and implementing new processes, tooling, and equipment.
  • Procurement activities including obtaining bids, evaluating bids, and making purchase recommendations.
  • Designing countermeasures and engineering trials; verifying effectiveness of corrective actions.
