Job Summary

Development of part manufacturing process, sequence of operations, and procurement of production material to meet customer specifications and print requirements. Provides technical expertise and improve processes for the shop floor.

Core Responsibilities

  • CNC Lathe and Mill Programming in Siemens NX and develop all required documentation (setup sheets, tool list) to support manufacturing.
  • Prepares method of instructions on operation sketch sheet using Siemens NX.
  • Create process routings using Epicor (ERP) with accurate time standards, and other pertinent data to ensure that parts meet design intent and customer requirements. Updates documents as necessary.
  • Design and develop processes and methods for Engineering projects to ensure that products and services provided meet all contractual, program, design and quality requirements.
  • Analyze, organize, and define production methods and processes required to manufacture products of involved and complex design, utilizing established standards and acceptable variations.
  • Assist in responding to customer Request for Quotes (RFQ's).
  • Participates in the review of the design, manufacturing, and test documentation to ensure that applicable contract, program, design, and quality requirements are met.
  • Assists in the design, Engineering analysis, and interpretation of customer requirements and specifications.
  • Works from part and product drawings, manufacturing schedules etc.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of aerospace industry experience preferred with process engineering experience in advanced manufacturing operations; machining (Lathes, 5-Axis Mills, Grind, etc.)
  • Lean manufacturing experience.
  • Proven track record of scheduling and organizing people and time effectively to complete assigned functions.
  • Proficient at reading, analyzing and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures, and standards.
  • Proficient with computer systems and basic software, experience with CAD.

Education Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering or related discipline OR 5+ years' experience in Aerospace manufacturing with CAD/CAM experience or equivalent.
