Manufacturing Engineer - Whitridge Associates : Job Details

Our client, a leader in the medical device industry, is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician to ensure their manufacturing operations run efficiently and effectively. This role is essential to maintaining high production standards and supporting process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment, replacing worn or damaged components as required.
• Provide support to manufacturing operators during equipment setup and assist with preventive maintenance activities.
• Document all equipment repairs, adjustments, and maintenance activities.
• Manage spare parts inventory, sourcing cost-effective supplies, and submitting requisitions for approval.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance equipment performance, optimize processes, and increase production yields.
• Support equipment qualifications (IQ/OQ) by developing and executing test protocols and documenting results.
• Communicate equipment repair updates and provide recommendations to supervisors and equipment users.
• Offer on-call support for urgent equipment needs during nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance within the medical device manufacturing industry.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing equipment principles and repair techniques.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and test equipment for maintenance and repairs.
• Experience in training operators on proper equipment setup and usage.
• Ability to lift and move equipment/materials per OSHA standards.
• Experience with biomedical fiber optic manufacturing equipment is a plus.
