Job Overview: In this role as a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of production processes. The Manufacturing Engineer is tasked with designing and refining manufacturing methods to boost productivity while maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring safety protocols. They work closely with various departments, such as design, quality, and operations, to implement improvements that reduce costs and streamline workflows. Responsibilities:
  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety in line with Ingersoll Rand's standards.
  • Analyze current production methods to identify and implement improvements that reduce costs and increase productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of new processes.
  • Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with Ingersoll Rand's company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to introduce innovative manufacturing techniques.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to manufacturing processes to minimize downtime and ensure consistent production quality.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of processes, improvements, and best practices.
  • Train and support production staff on new and revised manufacturing processes to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Monitor and evaluate production performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for any process deviations or quality issues.
  • Support the development and implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize workflows.
  • Participate in new product development projects to ensure manufacturability and scalability of designs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability and quality of materials and components.
  • Utilize data analysis and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements and achieve operational excellence.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial or Mechanical engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering

Preferences:
  • Master's degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial or Mechanical engineering.
  • Lean Six Sigma training
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously improve manufacturing processes
  • Understanding & application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
  • Effective oral & written communications skills. Listens fully to others giving full attention to what is being said, seeking to understand others perspective, being curious & asking questions.
  • Problem-solving skills. Using logic & reasoning to identify the strengths & weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Seeking input from others when making decisions
  • Proficient in the use of the personal computer, Microsoft Office software applications, Mastercam, AutoCAD and Solidworks.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
  • This position will be based in Mocksville, NC, with minimal travel
The pay range for this role is $75,000-95,000. The pay range considers a wide range of factors that include a candidate's skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location.
