RESPONSIBILITIES
· Support and drive troubleshooting effort of complex component, subassembly, and system assembly problems.
· Identify continuous improvement opportunities for quality, customer service, cost, safety, on time delivery, and compliance.
· Drive the standardization of processes and implementation of performance metrics.
· Create plans for electronics processing capital acquisition; specifications, sourcing, installation, and qualification.
· Create, maintain, and modify production work instructions for assembly and testing.
· Participate in manufacturability design reviews for new products with development engineering.
· Creation of safe work practices and hazardous conditions remediation.
· Analyze production processes for improvement of labor efficiency and material cost
· Develop training materials for assembly personnel.
· Provide technical assistance to the quality department to support corrective action on product quality issues.
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's degree in engineering
· Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt certification
· 5-8 Years experience directly working in an electro-mechanical manufacturing industry.
· Effective communication skills to interface with assembly personnel
· Familiarity with Surface Mount and through hole assembly technologies
· Experience with IPC 610 & ISO 9000 standards
· Working knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field required
