A Snapshot of Your DayApplies principles of Industrial Engineering to optimize repair processes and enhance efficiencythrough engineering process automation, digitalization techniques, standardization, and leanapplications. Provides technical leadership and direction to the shop floor through the creation andprovision of digitalized repair process documentation, answering technical questions related to thedigitalization and automation of turbine component repair processes, working closely with localand global IT and Digitization experts within Siemens Energy, and acting as a technical leadercollaborating with external and internal partners. Collaborates with engineering and productionmanagers in the manufacturing repair area to support the transition from paper-based productiondocumentation to paperless documentation and the automation and digitalization ofmanufacturing/industrial engineering workstreams.How You'll Make an Impact• Process Optimization: Applies Industrial Engineering principles to optimize repairprocesses and efficiency by employing digitalization techniques, and lean applications.• Enhance standardization, visibility, flow, and throughput through continuous improvementand digitalization. Plans equipment layout, tools, and IT programs needed, and designs orcontributes to designing the digital manufacturing workflow.• Documentation: Develops and/or specifies digital tools for process documentationauthoring, maintenance, and distribution. Assembles and provides digitalmanufacturing/repair instructions to the shop floor. Improves documentation availabilitythough digitalization.• Continuous Improvement: Continuously enhance engineering and workshop processes byleveraging advanced digitalization and automation tools and techniques. Partner with datascience and analytics professionals to create user-friendly digital dashboards on the shopfloor, delivering real-time production feedback that is easily interpretable and actionable byemployees.• Flow Improvements: Identify bottlenecks and true capacity. Ensure processes are workingto a signal. Enable communication of flow and bottlenecks with digitalization. Train peopleto recognize flow constraints.• Shop Floor Engagement: Engages with shop floor employees, customer service, engineers,quality, and customers to provide digital manufacturing solutions, technical feedback,guidance, and recommendations.• Deviation Management: Develop and support digital processes that supply and collectdetailed information on productionWhat You Bring• Industrial Engineering Principles: Strong understanding of Industrial Engineeringprinciples and their application in manufacturing and repair processes.Process Automation: Experience with engineering process automation tools andtechniques.• Digitalization Technologies: Proficiency in digitalization and workflow automationtechnologies and their implementation in shop floor processes and engineering workflows.• Lean Six Sigma: Experience in applying Lean principles and Six Sigma for impactfulimprovements.• Continuous Improvement: A strong drive for continuous improvement.Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
