This person is responsible for a variety of Continuous Improvement tasks and will be working closely with all departments to help improve efficiency.MAJOR DUTIES:
- Develop and document process controls for manufacturing.
- Assist Continuous Improvement Leaders (CILs) in writing work instructions for manufacturing processes.
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs; entering data.
- Conduct time studies in a variety of manufacturing departments.
- Assist with fixture design and implementation.
- Assist in the evaluation process for new machine purchases.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
- Should be in the process of obtaining a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field at an accredited college or university.
- Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently with some supervision.
- Good communication skills and comfortable working with a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think outside of the box.
- Proficient in Microsoft application (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Some bending and twisting are required.
