Job DetailsJob LocationEtnyre - Oregon, ILPosition TypeInternshipTravel PercentageNoneJob ShiftDayDescriptionJOB SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Engineering Interns primary objective is to contribute to the development and assessment of Continuous Improvement program and processes. This person is responsible for a variety of Continuous Improvement tasks and will be working closely with all departments to help improve efficiency.MAJOR DUTIES:

• Develop and document process controls for manufacturing.
• Assist Continuous Improvement Leaders (CILs) in writing work instructions for manufacturing processes.
• Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
• Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs; entering data.
• Conduct time studies in a variety of manufacturing departments.
• Assist with fixture design and implementation.
• Assist in the evaluation process for new machine purchases.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:

• Should be in the process of obtaining a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field at an accredited college or university.
• Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently with some supervision.
• Good communication skills and comfortable working with a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think outside of the box.
• Proficient in Microsoft application (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Some bending and twisting are required.
