Job Description :

ABR is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager in the Beaver Dam area. This person will provide management, leadership and direction to all Manufacturing departments in accordance with the annual Business Plan. Coordinates and tracks all manufacturing activities, including interaction with other departments, to achieve target levels for all operational and financial KPIs and to meet all customer needs, both internal and external.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Daily management of manufacturing operations focused on achievement of target levels for all KPIs including P&L. This includes tracking and reporting of actual performance vs. targets for all KPIs as well as urgent initiation of corrective actions whenever necessary to re-direct resources, activities, and focus as needed.
  • Establish and execute operational plans to achieve SQCT (Safety, Quality, Cost Time) targets; includes all KPIs. This includes development and maintenance of a structured, systematic process for managing and controlling all Manufacturing operations to meet or exceed performance targets.
  • Plan for and manage direct labor optimization, both high-level and daily.
  • Demonstrate the ability to be a decision-maker and a change agent, appropriately confronting challenges and problems and effectively overcoming/resolving them.
  • Analyze data related to Manufacturing operations (Safety, productivity, labor, overtime, scrap, inventory levels, Fulfillment Rate, OTD, etc.), developing and executing corrective actions as needed to achieve all KPIs. Planning is expected to be proactive, including execution of countermeasures to avoid negative impacts to the business.
  • Take an enthusiastic, hands-on role in planning, execution, and follow-up of Continuous Improvement projects and activities.
  • Champion execution of all initiatives in Manufacturing focused on Continuous Improvement and Cost Reduction. This includes promoting development of best-in-class manufacturing for Quality, Cost, and Time.
  • Provide management development of Supervisory staff. This includes providing all ongoing coaching and performance feedback necessary to drive success in all SQCT areas as well as teambuilding.
  • Promote and facilitate daily communication between Manufacturing and all other departments.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Applicable bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5-10 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably metal machining, with P&L accountability. Includes a minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing and improving manufacturing operations including direct labor.
  • Result-driven candidate; must demonstrate enthusiasm, passion, and a sense of urgency along with strong interpersonal, collaborative, and leadership skills.
  • Fast learner, hungry to understand all aspects of the business to support the growth and success of the entire organization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written; honesty and integrity are a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point required.
  • Knowledge of, experience in, and success with the application of Continuous Improvement tools, specifically Lean Manufacturing, is required.
  • Understanding of MRP systems functionality desired
ENVIRONMENT:Work time will be spent in a standard office environment with manufacturing plant exposure. Temperature and noise may vary depending on external environmental conditions. Lack of attention and carelessness may result in personal injury to self or others.
