Job Description :

Kelly, in partnership with a growing client, is looking for a Manufacturing Manager for a brand-new facility in Bergen County, NJ. We are looking for a hands-on manager who isn't afraid to jump in and get their hands dirty. You will be building this site (mostly) from the ground up. We are looking for someone who will take pride in building a manufacturing site and make it their own. This comes with massive growth opportunity as our client site grows.

This is a direct hire position meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Details:

  • One shift operation 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday
  • Pay: $165,000 - $175,000 (potentially higher for the right position)

Job Description:

  • Oversee the facility, ensuring smooth operational rollout.
  • Coordinate all manufacturing initiatives, operational benchmarks, and technology transfers.
  • Oversee daily production activities, ensuring high-quality output and on-time delivery.
  • Monitor manufacturing costs, expenses, and budget adherence to maximize efficiency.
  • Develop staffing plans, oversee production schedules, and workflow processes to optimize efficiency.
  • Track inventory, materials usage, and waste reduction initiatives to drive cost savings.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Coordinate with Engineers and additional team members to establish best practices for assembly, automation, and quality control.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety regulations, and company quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to align manufacturing goals with business needs.
  • Recruit, hire, and develop a skilled workforce, including machine operators, assemblers, and supervisors.
  • Establish strong communication lines across departments to ensure alignment in production goals.
  • Liaise with other manufacturing teams to share and implement best practices, process improvements, and standardization strategies.
  • Ensure seamless communication and alignment between all teams to optimize production efficiency and quality.
  • Work with the Engineers and team members to identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
  • Lead with a solutions-based mindset, proactively identifying and resolving production challenges.
  • Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience managing in a manufacturing environment
  • ISO and Lean manufacturing experience required.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and results-driven culture focused on efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Hands on, forward thinking leadership qualities.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to production teams.
  • Experience in cost tracking, budget management, and expense control in a manufacturing setting.
