Job Description :

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Material Movement: Expedite the transfer of materials between different manufacturing groups to ensure timely production processes.

* Unloading and Sorting: Assist in the unloading of raw materials from delivery trucks and accurately sort and store them in designated areas.

* Inventory Management: Support regular cycle counts of raw materials to maintain accurate inventory levels.

* Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts and overhead hoists to move materials within the facility.

* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of material movement, inventory counts, and any discrepancies noted during handling.

* Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

* Collaboration: Work closely with the manufacturing team and other departments to streamline material flow and address any material handling issues.

* Technology: Ability to use electronic tablet devices to scan delivery of product within the manufacturing process per the production router

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

* Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

* Experience: 1-3 years previous experience in a manufacturing or material handling role is preferred.

* Certification: Valid forklift certification is required. Overhead hoist certification is preferred but not mandatory (willing to train).

* Skills:

* Strong organizational and time management skills.

* Attention to detail and accuracy in material handling and inventory tasks.

* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

* Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and other departments.

* Basic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory management.

* Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to [specified weight, e.g., 50lbs]) regularly.

* Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and operating material handling equipment.

* Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.

* Standard manufacturing environment with adherence to safety protocols.
