The candidate will be responsible for manufacturing or evaluating products by following established protocols, providing technical support, andperforming tasks that support the group and department operations.Pay $25/hr + benefits2nd Shift: 3p to 11:30pEssential Job FunctionsOperate and load vessels, tanks, dryers, glassware, and other manufacturing equipment with solids, liquids, and gases while monitoring chemical reactions through lab equipment and control systems.Perform distillations, filtrations, extractions, and recrystallizations to isolate and purify products.Neutralize and dispose of unused materials, by-products, and residues.Contribute to department goals and follow written procedures (MPRs, SOPs, and other instructions).Follow company quality guidelines (ISO, MRB, cGMP, Change Control) and participate in quality training.Participate in 5S initiatives and maintain inventory of consumable supplies and equipment.Label reactions, products, and waste with content and status information.Provide oral and written updates to supervisor and coworkers regarding process status during shift changes.Wear and maintain personal protective equipment and follow all safety protocols as trained.Follow the Good Documentation Protocol (GDP) to enter information into lab notebooks, batch records, logs, checklists, and other quality-related records.Stage and de-stage materials and equipment using pallet mules, manual equipment, and PIT.Verify the quality and integrity of materials and equipment used.Participate in incident investigations and safety meetings.Perform in-process analytical testing, including workups and simple interpretations.Identify equipment malfunctions and take corrective action with appropriate approval.Use basic job-related SAP applications.Basic Qualifications/Requirements:HS Diploma or equivalent required.Experience in a chemistry-related environment.Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to read and understand written protocols.Experience with forklifts or hand pallet trucks.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Mechanical aptitude with basic math skills.Ability to read and follow written instructions.Preferred Qualifications:Desirable: Associate's degree in Chemistry or 2 years of college chemistry.Basic understanding of chemical reactions and hazards.Ability to operate hand tools, lab equipment, calculators, and measuring devices.Basic understanding of ISO and quality systems.Environmental ConditionsMay occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.Wear appropriate PPE (hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical-resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes) to protect against toxic or corrosive chemicals.Work areas may occasionally be wet, humid, abnormally hot, or cold.Physical RequirementsRegularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawl for extended periods.Must be able to talk, hear, taste, and smell.Occasionally required to lift or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and push or pull heavy materials; heavier loads may require assistance.Vision requirements: Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Utilizes phones, computers, monitors, and other office and manufacturing equipment, including typing on a keyboard and reading computer screens.#J-18808-Ljbffr
