Manufacturing Operator - Manpower Group : Job Details

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Casting Operator to join their team. As a Casting Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting the continuous casting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety mindset, demonstrated mechanical aptitude, and basic computer skills which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Casting OperatorLocation: Conway, SCPay Range:15/hrShift: 8/12 hours per day - rotating day/nights as well as days of week every 2 weeksWhat's the Job?

• Set up, operate, and adjust/tune casting and auxiliary equipment.
• Input setup, quality, and casting data into the computer system.
• Take samples to the QA laboratory, evaluate quality information, and make casting adjustments while maintaining continuous casting operation.
• Use a crane and a forklift to remove newly-wound spools from the winder and transport them to cooling racks.
• Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance using various power and hand tools.

What's Needed?

• 1-2 Years experience in a manufacturing or production setting required
• Safety mindset is your #1 priority!
• Ability to read and understand measurements and directions.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

• Basic computer skills: ability to enter, retrieve, and evaluate data.
• High school graduate or equivalent
