Open Date 8/7/2024 Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Pay Range:Description Please apply online at www.pgmcorp.comEssential Duties & Responsibility Summary Set up, operate, spray guns to coat or paint machined metal parts with 2-part epoxy coatings. Understands and maintains precision instruments and gages for paint shop environments. May include the coordination and/or day to day duties of others. Other duties include but are not limited to:
  • Mount product to production tooling.
  • Measure ingredients or substances to be used in production processes.
  • Remove grease, dirt, paint, or rust from surfaces in preparation for paint application, using abrasives, solvents, brushes, washing tanks, or sandblasters.
  • Inspect finishes of workpieces or finished products.
  • Operate ovens.
  • Record operational or production data.
  • Monitor equipment operation to ensure it is functioning properly
  • Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Clean production equipment.
  • Prepare surfaces for finishing.
  • Clean work areas.
  • Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair.
  • Dispose of trash or waste materials.
  • Mix ingredients to create specific finishes per manufacturers technical data sheet.
  • Monitor painting operations to identify flaws, such as blisters or streaks, and correct their causes
  • Polish and deburr materials, workpieces, or finished products.
  • Smooth metal surfaces or edges as required.
  • Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
